Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Danny Ings for his focus as the striker fights for his place in Liverpool’s first-team.
Ings, who joined Liverpool from Burnley, has been riddled by injury since his arrival at Anfield, missing most of last season following a ligament injury.
However, Danny has been regularly scoring for Liverpool’s U23s and Klopp is set to play the 24-year-old in the fourth-round of the EFL Cup against Tottenham later tonight.
However, the young striker faces a lot of competition in Klopp’s team, but Klopp has said that Ings has stayed positive through his injury and is in position for a first-team call-up if needed.
When Kopp was speaking about Ings, he said: “It’s really good. If I was being a little less sensitive, I could say that is his job to do, but I am sensitive and I know it is not easy. He takes the situation in a perfect way, but it’s all for him.
“He was a long time injured. He is fit now, everything is good and, with his attitude, all will be good in the end.”
