Derby County are poised to re-sign Andre Wisdom from Liverpool this summer, according to the Derby Telegraph.
The defender spent a year on loan at the Rams back in 2013, but the club are now eyeing up a permanent deal for the 24-year-old.
However, as Wisdom has just finished a year out on loan at Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg – in which he helped the club to a domestic double – Derby could have to wait until the deal officially finishes before chasing his signature.
Derby boss Gary Rowett has stated that Wisdom is the type of player he’s after this summer and it is understood that the Reds could let him go for around £4 million. Wisdom himself has said he will ‘return to Liverpool and see what happens.’
With Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp set to go big in the transfer window and bolster his squad, it’s looking likely that Wisdom will not be a part of his first-team plans.
