Emre Can agrees Juventus contract

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus and the move will be completed after this Saturday’s Champions League final.

The Guardian report that Can will earn €5 million a year with the Italian giants having rejected the chance to stay at Anfield.

The German has not played for the Reds since March but was pictured training today ahead of this weekend’s season finale against Real Madrid in Kiev.

The 24-year-old joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 for a fee of €12 million and has impressed since.

He has scored 10 Premier League goals in 115 appearances from the centre of midfield but was not named in Joachim Low’s Germany squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Can will be a loss to boss Jurgen Klopp, who was desperate to keep his fellow countryman at the club but terms could not be agreed.

However, RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita will move to Merseyside in the coming weeks as per the agreement made last year, bolstering the squad.
