Liverpool midfielder Emre Can could be headed for the Anfield exit in January, as Jurgen Klopp looks to bring Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita in six months early.
Keita has agreed to join the Reds next summer, but poor recent results as well as unrest surrounding the Guinean midfielder in Germany have led Jurgen Klopp to start planning an earlier switch for the Leipzig man.
If Keita were to arrive in January, Liverpool would have nine senior central midfielders on their books for the second half of the season; too many even for a club with good squad depth — and according to the Express, Emre Can could be the man set to make way.

Can is out of contract in the summer and would therefore be available for a lowered price in the January transfer window. Italian publication Tuttosport claim that the German international could move to Juventus in that window, although the Old Lady‘s chief executive Beppe Marotta has already ruled out a move, but also confirmed that they did bid for the 23-year-old last summer.
Can moved to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 and has since made 132 appearances for the Reds, scoring ten goals since making his debut against Manchester City, including a spectacular overhead kick against Watford last season.
