Liverpool have been left sweating over the fitness of Emre Can this week after the midfielder suffered a recurrence of the back injury which forced him off in the first-half of the win over Watford before the international break.
During a training session with the rest of the Germany squad yesterday, Can lasted just 15 minutes before the injury flared up again and the 24-year-old withdrew himself from training as a result.

After further review and treatment, it has been decided that Can will not be involved in Germany’s international friendly with Spain tomorrow evening, and his involvement in their game against Brazil later in the international break has yet to be determined.

Can has made 37 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring six goals and recording five assists in the process, and Jurgen Klopp will be sweating over his fitness in the coming weeks as after the international break Liverpool will be preparing for their huge Champions League quarter-final clashes with Manchester City.
