Everton’s research confirms Liverpool fans vastly outweigh them in the city

Liverpool supporters outweigh Everton fans by a ratio of 2:1 in the city, according to research undertaken by the Blues, as highlighted by Dave Phillips (@lovefutebol) on Twitter.

The Reds’ Merseyside rivals are in the process of moving into a proposed new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, but are still awaiting planning permission from Liverpool City Council.

As part of their applications, the blue conducted a survey and found that of all the people they approached, there were two Liverpool fans for every one Everton supporter, which Everton say backs up their own assumptions that Reds’ fans far outnumber Blues’ fans within the city of Liverpool.

When taking into account Everton’s proposed new stadium and Liverpool’s plans to extend Anfield once again, it looks like a matter of time before Merseyside’s biggest two clubs will be playing in two excellent venues in two different parts of the city that the football clubs will help refresh and revamp.
