Fabinho will miss Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Leicester City through injury, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
The Reds visit the Foxes on Saturday lunchtime, knowing victory will put them level on points with Brendan Rodgers’ third-place side.
Defeat would leave them nine adrift, however, and a response from back-to-back losses to Brighton and Manchester City is needed.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Klopp confirmed that Fabinho was out with a “muscle issue”:
Jurgen Klopp has just confirmed that Fabinho is out of tomorrow's game at Leicester. "He's got a small muscle issue".

This is a massive blow for Liverpool, with Fabinho such an influential performer this season.
He has arguably been the Reds’ Player of the Year to date, excelling in a new centre-back role, due to injuries to others.
It means Klopp may have to start Jordan Henderson in defence against Leicester, potentially alongside debutant Ozan Kabak.
Nathaniel Phillips, Rhys Williams and new signing Ben Davies are also options, but experience at the top level will be needed against a strong Leicester team.
