A number of Liverpool supporters have been venting their frustration, following claims that the Reds are unlikely to make a centre-back signing in January.
Jurgen Klopp has suffered a crisis at the back this season, as his side attempt to clinch back-to-back Premier League titles.
Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are both expected to miss the rest of the season with serious knee problems picked up in the autumn, while Joel Matip continues to be an injury-plagued figure.
These fitness woes have led to Klopp having to predominantly use Fabinho as a centre-back, with youngsters Rhys Williams and Nathaniel Phillips also featuring, as well as Jordan Henderson dropping into defence.
Despite it arguably being vital that Liverpool bring in a centre-back, a report from This Is Anfield courtesy of journalist David Lynch claims the Reds may risk not signing anyone.
It is an undoubted gamble, if true, and one that can only be truly assessed come the end of the season.
These Liverpool fans have been reacting to the news, with negativity the order of the day.
Feels more like stupidity than a major gamble tbh. No senior CBs and we're happy to plough on. I can't understand how we can just ignore that and expect us to challenge for the title with no CBs.

This is just repeating what city did last year and we all know how that played out. This is just stupidity at his finest. To high of a risk especially playing with kids in Europe stage later on.

It’s a huge gamble, with no ability forecast the financial grounding, I understand the approach. I think it will take something dramatically opportunistic for this to change.

Time to forget about winning any trophies and hope we make top 4.

It’s a gamble in terms of top 4 imo.
