Ex-Liverpool defender Jose Enrique had nothing but praise for Reds left-back Andy Robertson after the club’s victory in the Champions League final.
The Spaniard voiced his opinion about the defender and called him ‘the best left-back in the world.’
After the Champions League final, at the celebratory party, Enrique told Robertson what he thought of him. He explained to Liverpool’s official website:
He’s given a lot of assists, contributed to the team offensively and defensively as well.
Robertson has been with Liverpool since July 2017 and enjoyed his most successful campaign yet in 2018/19. He helped his team secure second place in the Premier League and achieved Champions League glory.

The Scotland international’s displays on the left-hand side of the defence have earned him plenty of plaudits, and Enrique is among his admirers. He said:
Jordi Alba has been good as well but he [Robertson] has been unbelievable. He’s given a lot of assists, contributed to the team offensively and defensively as well.
He has been for me, one of the best players for Liverpool this year.
Following such an exceptional season at Anfield, Robertson will likely be regarded as a crucial player for Jurgen Klopp as he bids to lead Liverpool to an unprecedented Premier League title next term.
