Yesterday saw BBC pundit Garth Crooks pick his Premier League Team of the Week.
After an action packed weekend of football, there were plenty of worthy candidates for Crooks to select from.
Luckily for the Reds, one of Jurgen Klopp’s men managed to make his way into the side.
After scoring his first goal for the club in their 2-0 win over Southampton, Thiago found himself selected.
However, that didn’t come without a criticism towards one of Liverpool’s other stars.
Crooks singled out the actions of Mohamed Salah, stating that he is having a ‘negative effect’ on the rest of the squad.
Mohamed Salah only seems interested in the Golden Boot and I think that is having a negative effect on some of his teammates.

It is an interesting take from Crooks given how important Salah’s goals have been this season.
As Liverpool’s top goalscorer in the league with 20 goals, 11 ahead of second placed Sadio Mané, it is unfair from Crooks.
Salah has been one of the stand out stars for Liverpool during a very poor season.
If you take away Salah’s goals then there is likely a huge chance that Liverpool are nowhere near the top four race.
In a recent interview, Salah even came out and said he’d happily swap all of his golden boots for a top four spot.
This shows an unfair judgement on Crooks’ part to suggest that Salah is having a negative effect.
Every club wants a player that just wants to score – believe it or not, it actually helps teams win games.
