Gary Neville has taunted Liverpool after their FA Cup exit at the hands of Manchester United, comparing them to Coventry City.
The Reds were dumped out of the competition on Sunday night, losing 3-2 at Old Trafford, as their difficult run of form continues.
There were clear improvements on show from Jurgen Klopp’s side, but defeat to United is never easy to stomach.
Taking to Twitter after the game, United fan and legend Neville mocked Liverpool, suggesting they are now akin to a Championship side:
Good win for United . Credit to Coventry for sticking at it 👍🏻

It is a typical dig from Neville, whose huge dislike of Liverpool is clear, especially if you happen to follow him on social media.
In fairness, it only highlights how much the Reds’ Premier League title win last season must have affected him – he will hopefully be miserable again soon, as their form changes for the better.
Neville does find a middle ground between being too biased and paying Liverpool praise, though, and it is lighthearted jibing at the end of the day.
