Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is in Glasgow for further talks over the managerial role at Rangers, according to the Daily Mail.
The club remain hopeful that a deal will be completed with the Liverpool youth team coach by the end of the week.
Gerrard is set to take over from current boss Graeme Murty at the helm after another tough season for Rangers, which is likely to see them finish in third place in the Scottish Premiership.

He has been heavily backed to take up the role and use his vast experience throughout the game to perform well as a manager.
Gerrard is yet to manage a team at senior level but has already been offered opportunities in previous seasons. Last season, it was claimed that MK Dons were keen to appoint the former England international as their new first-team manager.
The Reds will be hoping that Gerrard remains at Melwood to work with the club’s young guns.
