Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes Liverpool won’t be thrown off in their attempt to win the Premier League following their 3-0 loss in Barcelona.
The Reds’ recent visit to Camp Nou in their Champions League semi-final clash saw them experience the full force of Lionel Messi. The Argentine put away a delightful free-kick, only seven minutes after tapping home a Luis Suarez effort that rebounded off the crossbar.
Liverpool threatened during the opening moments of the match, but there was nothing they could do when Barcelona began to wake up. The opening goal came from ex-Liverpool man Suarez, as he tucked away Jordi Alba’s cross.

Despite Jurgen Klopp’s men leaving Spain with a huge job to do back at Anfield in the second leg, title race rival Guardiola has expressed that he does not think this will not affect their success in the Premier League.
While speaking to Sky Sports, the City boss said:
I don’t think so. I think the game was incredibly good. Both sides were incredible. Liverpool were outstanding. I enjoyed it a lot watching them. They fought a lot.
Of course Newcastle [Liverpool’s next opponent] is not easy, like Leicester is not easy, so we are going to see what happens but they are going to be well prepared to try to win the game.
Manchester City currently sit on top of the table only one point ahead of Liverpool. With two games remaining, Klopp will be looking to ensure that his team’s Champions League campaign will not interfere with the battle for the title.
