Jordan Henderson has confirmed that any mention of the Premier League title is banned at Liverpool this season, certainly until the team’s work is done.
The Reds have enjoyed a remarkable campaign, building a 25-point lead over Manchester City and dropped just two points all season.
Jurgen Klopp’s men know that 15 more points will guarantee title glory and a first league crown since 1990.
There is still work to do, though, and the players are clearly worried about jinxing their challenge.
Speaking to Sport, Henderson confirmed that any mention of the title is prohibited at Anfield:
It is a forbidden word for now.
I’ve been in football long enough to know that nothing is impossible.

I think this sums up the professional approach of Liverpool this season, with Jurgen Klopp never allowing his players to get ahead of themselves.
A humble character who takes nothing for granted, the 52-year-old’s character is echoed in his players.
While the general feeling is that Liverpool have the title sewn up, anything is possible in football and the Reds must simply focus on getting the five wins they need to secure a first top-division title in 30 years.
