According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool’s improved offer for Naby Keita, worth £66m, has been rejected by RB Leipzig.
Liverpool have been targetting Keita all summer after his outstanding breakout season for Leipzig, which saw him help the club finish second in the Bundesliga and they remain adamant that the midfielder is not for sale.
A £57m bid from Liverpool was rejected earlier this month, leading to The Reds tabling this £66m bid which has also been rejected.

The chances of Keita coming to Anfield this summer have been dented down even more after Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz came out recently and said:
We don’t sell any of our players just to get money.Lately we got a 75million Euros offer for Naby Keïta. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it. To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too.
Liverpool are not likely to give up on their pursuit of the player just yet but this news will come as a bitter blow.
There are some reports circulating online suggesting that the player’s agent has flown to Hong Kong to meet with Liverpool officials but as it stands, these are unconfirmed.
