Liverpool defender Joe Gomez remains a fitness concern ahead of his side’s trip to Southampton in the Premier League this weekend, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The youngster missed his side’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham last weekend and hasn’t returned to training since, making him a major doubt for the game.
Jurgen Klopp is confident that this is only a minor problem but he won’t be taking any chances on the player in this situation.

Gomez has had a couple of other injury problems in his time at Liverpool, including injuries to his ACL in 2015, so he is no stranger to these kinds of situations.
The Reds signed the versatile defender for £3.5 million from Charlton in 2015.
He struggled to gain too many chances under Klopp last season but has really stepped up in Nathaniel Clyne’s long-term absence from the team.
He has featured 26 times this season in all competitions and was even rewarded with an England debut against Germany in November.
