It was reported earlier this week that Austrian Hans Leitert was serving as a goalkeeping consultant for the Liverpool.
When asked about Leitert’s role at the club, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that he has no influence on any coaching or training, and that he only helps the Reds scout any potential new ‘keepers.
He said:
[Hans provides] advice for the scouting department, nothing else. It’s not that he makes any decisions, he can’t. That’s how it is, but goalkeeping is a special position, so I think it makes sense that in the scouting department we have somebody who is more responsible for that, but it’s not that he comes in and says, ‘I found it, this is our new No.1’

Liverpool are expected to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer due to the question marks surrounding both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius and it looks like Leitert will be involved in the search for a new number one.
There had been some suggestions that the Austrian was involved in coaching Liverpool’s ‘keepers but Klopp clarified that those reports were incorrect.
The only person responsible for goalkeeper training in the first team is John Achterberg.
