Loris Karius’ agent has dismissed claims that his client will return to Liverpool in the January transfer window.
The German goalkeeper was sent out on loan to Besiktas in the summer after two high-profile errors in the Reds’ Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Karius’ stay in Turkey is set to last two years, but fresh reports had indicated that Besiktas were keen to send the former Mainz star back to Merseyside in exchange for out of favour forward Divock Origi.
The Belgian international has been generally excluded by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp this season, indicating that he could be set for a January departure.

However, these reports appear to have been wide of the mark, with Karius’ agent Florian Goll labelling the claims as “complete nonsense”. Speaking to SID, as cited by FourFourTwo, Goll said:
Complete nonsense. I wonder where such things come from. This news is absolutely untrue.
Loris is on loan to Besiktas for two years – that’s the situation. The club has no intention of ending this loan contract prematurely. It’s fact that Loris is the clear number one at Besiktas, he played every game and showed good performances.
Karius’ displays at Besiktas have come under fire in recent times, but it seems he will not be leaving Istanbul any time soon.
