Karius linked with move to Olympiakos

Loris Karius could be set for a move to Olympiakos at the end of the season, according to Hurriyet.

The Liverpool goalkeeper is currently on a two-year loan deal at Besiktas, but things have not panned out the way he had hoped.

Karius has been the subject of jeering from his own supporters and he is also taking legal action against the Turkish club for not paying his wages for four months.

A return to Liverpool looks highly unlikely, following last season’s Champions League final disaster, but Olympiakos are keen to end his Besiktas nightmare.

They are thought to want an upgrade between the sticks, with their current options not seen as good enough.

A Sport Witness report claims that “President Evangelos Marinakis will hope to use his relationship with Besiktas chief Firket Orman to help get a deal done”.

It is a deal that is easy to envisage coming to fruition.
