Adam Lallana has followed Sadio Mane in being passed fit to feature against Napoli in Liverpool’s final group stage match.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as reported by the club’s official website, Jurgen Klopp issued a positive update on Lallana ahead of the match.
He looked fine. Nobody told me differently. He was running yesterday.
The midfielder has been plagued by injuries this season but will now be hoping he can finally get his campaign up and running.
Lallana has started just three games in all competitions for Liverpool this season, making a further three appearances from the bench.
He came off the bench just after the hour mark during Liverpool’s win over Bournemouth, in what was his first Premier League game since the end of October.
The Englishman will be hoping that he can pull a decent run of games together in a bid to get himself back up to full speed.
