Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that the club are set to break the bank this summer in order to sign the players that he needs.
A report from the Independent reports on Klopp saying:
You won’t get a badge for a positive transfer balance.
This suggests that net spend isn’t at the top of his priorities and he’s not afraid to use the funds made available to him.
The Reds look to have started already, as they’ve reportedly agreed terms with Virgil van Dijk ahead of a potential summer move from Southampton.
Another man claimed to be on Klopp’s shortlist this summer is Roma winger Mohamed Salah, and it’s likely he will not be cheap either – supposedly coming in at £35 million.
The Independent go on to say that Klopp has drawn up an ‘extensive’ list of player to sign this summer as he aims to prepare his squad for Champions League football next term.
