Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is pleased with the quality his side showed during their “outstanding” 3-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Klopp’s side moved back to the summit of the Premier League following the win, after slipping to second on goal difference behind champions Manchester City.
The Reds had been subject to criticism following consecutive draws against Leicester and West Ham respectively but produced an ensured display to dispatch of Bournemouth.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring with his fourth goal in four league games; the first time he has achieved that in his career; before Georginio Wijnaldum doubled the home side’s lead with a sumptuous lob over Artur Boruc before half time.

Mohamed Salah netted his 20th goal of the season just three minutes after the break to seal the victory, and Klopp was full of praise for his side following the win.

The Liverpool boss also revealed how his squad were determined to show a positive reaction after being critical of their own performances in the draws against Leicester and West Ham.

Liverpool now turn their attention to hosting Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last 16 Champions League tie, before facing Manchester United in the league.
