As Liverpool continue to prepare for the Champions League final against Spurs it was their manager that stole the headlines on Tuesday morning as Jurgen Klopp had a lot to say during his press conference.
All this stemmed from Pep Guardiola’s comments about how winning the Premier League is more important and much harder than winning the Champions League. To which Klopp replied:
Pep has to say that as he hasn’t been in a Champions League final for a while!
There was definitely a cheeky swipe at Pep for his recent Champions League failures having been unable to win the competition since his time with Barcelona in 2011.

In his defence, Klopp did give Guardiola his props saying:
He is a great manager and deserves all the praise he gets.
Klopp has lost all seven of his previous finals as a manager, something he’ll be looking to change against Spurs.
This Saturday will be Liverpool’s second Champions League final in as many years and they’ll be hoping to win it this time around having lost to Madrid last year.
It is also Liverpool’s last chance of winning silverware for the season having narrowly missed out on the Premier League to Guardiola City by a point.
