Midfielder Adam Lallana has admitted that Liverpool need to be more ruthless in the UEFA Champions League, according to a report on Sky Sports.
Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 2-0 in their group stage match against Red Star Belgrade and found it difficult to finish off their chances.

The Reds simply never got going in Belgrade and suffered their second loss of the group stages, the first coming away against Napoli.
That’s three consecutive European away defeats for Klopp’s side and Lallana feels that they need to be ruthless in the competition. He said:
We had chances and we came out at the start of the second half which was better, but we weren’t ruthless enough and we weren’t patient enough.
Of course, there will be a reaction. It’s not the first time we’ve lost games and it’s about how you react and how you bounce back but we are thoroughly disappointed to come away with nothing.
They time-wasted and we lost momentum but to come in 2-0 down wasn’t like us and we’ve got to take full responsibility and make sure that doesn’t happen again.
We knew it was going to be completely different to the game at Anfield a fortnight ago but it wasn’t to be. It wasn’t like us. We need to move on and improve if we are going to go through to the knockout stages.
Liverpool travel to Paris in their next group fixture to play against Paris Saint Germain in what could prove to be a decisive match in terms of progressing into the knockout rounds.
