Lallana Speaks About Sterling and Sacked Coaching Duo

Adam Lallana has spoken out about his future at Anfield and the recent ‘goings-on’ at Liverpool, and says that the squad “just have to get on with it” after the dismissal of assistant manager Colin Pascoe and first team coach Mike Marsh.
 
The England midfielder seemed rather displeased with the club’s outgoings, but firmly believes that the Reds must push on and deal with the situation, the Telegraph have reported.
 
“They were great coaches. I worked well with them this year,” he said.
 
Mike Marsh was told by the club that his contract would not be renewed, whilst Colin Pascoe soon followed him through the exit door on Merseyside after the “End-of Season Review” suggested that changes needed to be made.
 
Pascoe has been Brendan Rodgers’ assistant since his time at Swansea City.
 
“It’s the same as a player.” Lallana said. “A manager might come in and not fancy you and you are the one who is looking to be sold. It happens to coaching staff, too.”
 
The 27 year old also spoke about team mate Raheem Sterling, whose Anfield future hangs in the balance. The 20 year old has been the focus of much criticism in recent weeks.
 
“Honestly he’s absolutely fine, Raheem. He’s a great lad and, for me, people are obviously talking too much about him. He’s a really down-to-earth lad and I just hope he stays at Liverpool because he’s a fantastic player and a good friend.” 
 
“He’s just like any other young, enthusiastic footballer. Plays with a smile on his face on the pitch and in training. You just hope he’s on your team otherwise he’ll end up running rings around you.” 
 
“I suppose I do have sympathy for him. He just wants to get on with his football and play. He’s still got two years left on his contract so that speaks for itself, really.” 
 
“I’m sure you guys talk about it and about him possibly leaving or staying but I know him as a team-mate and he’s a top, top, top lad. Just a great guy.”
