Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert expects to leave Anfield this summer, according to ESPN FC sources.
The Englishman was signed from Southampton last summer for £4 million after scoring 13 goals in the league.
Manager Brendan Rodgers swooped for the former Bristol Rovers player in what was thought to be a shrewd move.
But Lambert failed to hit the ground running and only scored three goals in all competitions last season.
In January, Liverpool had accepted a bid for the 33-year-old from Aston Villa, but Lambert chose not to go as he did not want his time at his boyhood club to be cut short.
With the arrival of attacking players such as Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi, Lambert may fall further down the pecking order.
West Bromwich Albion are thought to be monitoring the situation and Villa are also showing interest again.
An overhaul in the strikers department is expected at Melwood this summer with Fabio Borini and Mario Balotelli also expected to leave.
