Lazio name their price for Liverpool target Strakosha

Liverpool will reportedly need to spend a fee in the region of €40 million if they want to land Thomas Strakosha from Lazio this summer.

The Reds are keen to recruit a new first-choice goalkeeper following the calamitous performance of Loris Karius in the Champions League final last month, with Strakosha the latest name to be linked with a switch to Anfield.

Liverpool had originally identified Roma goalkeeper Alisson and Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak as their two top targets for the problem position, but it seems they have been priced out of respective deals for the pair.

This has led Liverpool to turn their attention towards Strakosha who, as per a report from Alfredo Pedulla, will cost €40 million to acquire this summer.

Strakosha, who is often labelled as unorthodox in his style of goalkeeping, enjoyed a good season with Lazio and has evidently caught the eye of clubs across Europe.

The Albanian international would likely come in as the Reds’ new number one goalkeeper, but it seems they will need to fork out a considerable sum if they are to convince Lazio to sell their key man.
