Liverpool and Tottenham are reportedly both tracking Lazio defender Adam Marusic, ahead of a potential swoop for the player.
According to reports in Italy, both Premier League sides are admirers of the player, with teams preparing to strengthen in the January transfer window.
The report claims that both Liverpool and Spurs are ‘following him carefully’.
Marusic is a versatile player, who can play in a more advanced role either on the left or the right, as well as in defence.
Jurgen Klopp appears keen to strengthen defensively, with Alberto Moreno set to leave to the club.

Moreno is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Barcelona recently.
There are also concerns over Nathaniel Clyne’s long-term future at Anfield.
The former Southampton man has lost his place in the first-team to Trent Alexander-Arnold and has found game time hard to come by after struggling with injuries.
