Jurgen Klopp is eager to improve his defence and Liverpool are being linked with a January swoop for Emerson Palmieri of Roma.
The Reds have been tracking the young left-back for a number of months as he battled back from a serious knee injury and they are ready to firm up their interest.
Liverpool are ready to reinvest the money recouped from the Philippe Coutinho sale in a move for Palmieri, with a €25m bid being readied according to a Gazzetta dello Sport report.

Andy Robertson has impressed in recent weeks at left-back but Liverpool would like to add another fullback with Alberto Moreno not seen as the long-term answer and James Milner seemingly moved back into a midfield role.
Juventus were also interested in signing the young defender as a potential successor for Alex Sandro who is wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United, but they have seemingly fallen behind Liverpool in the race to sign him after Roma ruled out a transfer to a Serie A rival.
