Liverpool could benefit as Leeds set to make bid for Rangers’ Ryan Kent

Leeds United look set to make a bid to sign Rangers winger Ryan Kent this summer, just a year after the winger left Liverpool on a permanent basis to join Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox revolution.

As reported by Alan Nixon, Marcelo Bielsa is a fan of the former Reds’ winger and as such, he wants to take him to Elland Road as he looks to build a squad that will allow Leeds to compete in the Premier League.

Rangers paid Liverpool an initial £6.5m fee to sign Kent in the summer of 2019 after he’d impressed during an earlier loan spell but The Reds also included a 20% sell-on clause in the deal.

So, if Leeds do come in for Kent, then Liverpool could benefit financially from the transfer of a player from Scotland to another Premier League side.

Quite how much it would cost Leeds to sign Kent remains to be seen, but Liverpool may well get a timely bit of extra cash this summer if a deal can be completed.
