Liverpool could be about to get an extra bit of cash into their club account as Leeds United are still looking to sign Rangers winger Ryan Kent.
Leeds have already had a £10m bid for Kent rejected by Rangers, but the Yorkshire club, despite scoring seven goals in two games so far this season, are ready to make another move for him, according to a report from The Athletic.
If Leeds do sign Kent this summer, then Liverpool will get a nice windfall as The Reds included a 20% sell-on clause in the deal when they sold the winger to Rangers for £7m back in 2019.
Rangers are adamant that the former Red is not for sale, but it remains to be seen if that’s still the case if Leeds do make another offer.

In the grand scheme of football finances, a 20% payout on a transfer fee of somewhere between £10m-£20m isn’t a huge figure, but it’s not insignificant either.
Given the current climate of football, any additional revenue will be a bonus and if Liverpool collects it over the next few weeks, it’ll once again highlight how clever it was to include the 20% sell-on clause in the original deal.
