Liverpool eye club record move for Bruno Fernandes

Liverpool are willing to their transfer record to sign another midfielder to partner the incoming Naby Keita, according to Portuguese newspaper, A Bola.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes is the man who the club have reportedly identified as the perfect player to come in and play alongside Keita in what could be a very exciting midfield.

Jurgen Klopp has apparently had firm eyes on the player for some time and is said to keen for the club to being him in when the transfer window opens next month.

The Portuguese man has a  €100m release clause in his deal at Sporting and the Reds are reportedly considering meeting it in order to get their man

If a deal was completed at that price, it would break the £75 million which Klopp spent on Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton, making Fernandes Liverpool’s most expensive player ever.

Chelsea and Tottenham are also said to be interested in the Sporting star, so the Portuguese side will be in no rush to sell him cheaply, hence why the Reds would likely have to meet the release clause to get him.
