Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Augsburg defender Philipp Max this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his options at left-back, though the Reds could face competition from Barcelona and Newcastle.
According to Wales Online, Max could be available for a fee in the region of €20million, though that figure could rise amid interest from the trio.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for a left-back this summer, with the departure of Alberto Moreno leaving Andy Robertson as Klopp’s only recognised senior figure in that position, though James Milner is capable of filling in as a left-sided full-back.

Barcelona are also said to be in the market for a left-back to offer competition for Jordi Alba, and had been linked with a surprise move for Moreno upon his contract expiry.
Max enjoyed an impressive 2018/19 campaign for Augsburg, scoring four and assisting seven goals in all competitions last season.
