Liverpool are keeping tabs on 17-year-old Mexican forward Diego Lainez, according to a report from ESPN Deportes.
Scouts from the Reds were at the recent U17 World Cup, an event won by England, and Lainez was apparently one of the players who caught their eyes.
Mexico were knocked out of the tournament at the last 16 stage and Lainez has already been back in club action.

The teenager is already playing competitive first-team football for Liga MX side America and the Reds are expected to continue tracking his development ahead of a possible summer move.
Liverpool have shown a willingness to bring in the best young talent from around the globe and they will continue to do so in the future.
Whilst work permit issues could be a potential sticking point in a move for Lainez, the Reds will continue monitoring and assessing the teenager with a future transfer still a possibility.
