Liverpool have identified Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer as their ‘top summer transfer target’, according to the Mirror.
The 23-year-old has impressed for the Serie A side this season, starting 18 of his team’s 22 league games.
Despite Liverpool bringing in Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies last week, it is claimed that neither are ‘ready-made’ solutions for Liverpool.
Instead, it is Bremer who the Reds are lining up this summer, with the report stating that he could complement Virgil van Dijk well.

Bremer certainly ticks a lot of the boxes when you look at his statistics this season, with 2.6 aerial duels won per game in Serie A superior to Van Dijk’s tally (2.4) in the Premier League in 2020/21, prior to his injury.
That being said, the Brazilian is a left-sided centre-back, like Van Dijk, which could mean the Dutchman having to shift across to the right.
That might not be an issue, but considering how unrivalled Van Dijk has been in that position, moving him slightly could be deemed a risk.
Bremer is an exciting target, though, and with Torino ‘expecting several offers’ for him, it will be interesting to see how things develop.
