Liverpool prepare to discover their fate in the upcoming Emirates FA Cup quarter-final draw. The Reds are now just one step away from a return to Wembley.
Reds supporters will surely be dreaming of a Cup success in the esteemed competition this season, with the Merseyside giants now into the quarter-final stages of the FA Cup, after easing past fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 in the round of 16.
This had the potential of being a tricky bumpy in the road for Arne Slot’s men, who came unstuck to Rob Edwards side in league action towards the start of the month, but there was no need for nerves in the end, as a professional performance was put in.
Should Arne Slot guide his side to FA Cup glory this season, it would mark Liverpool’s first triumph in the world’s oldest knockout competition since the 2021/22 campaign. That memorable victory saw the Reds overcome Chelsea in a tense penalty shootout under the Wembley arches, and repeating the feat would represent a major milestone in Slot’s tenure at Anfield.
Fans of a Merseyside persuasion need to ensure they don’t get too carried away and start booking hotels in the English capital, though, with the quarter-final draw yet to take place.

How to watch
The FA Cup draw will be available to watch during the build-up to the West Ham vs Brentford fifth round cup tie later tonight, with the draw itself taking place at 19:05 GMT on TNT Sports.
The draw is also free to watch via the Emirates FA Cup YouTube channel.
Who is left in the competition?
These are all the ball numbers still left in the pot, who could face off against each other in some enthralling quarter-final ties to follow.
1. Southampton
2. Port Vale
3. Manchester City
4. Leeds United
5. Arsenal
6. Liverpool
7. Chelsea
8. West Ham United or Brentford
Liverpool will surely want to avoid a showdown with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, although both the Gunners and the Blues advanced through to this next knock-out round, off the back of unconvincing wins against Mansfield Town and Wrexham.
Still, Slot side cannot take the likes of Port Vale and Southampton for granted, if they are drawn to face off against lower league opposition next, as the League One outfit pulled off the shock of the last round, when narrowly overcoming Regis Le Bris Sunderland 1-0.
Liverpool know all too well the agony of coming up short against EFL minnows, having lost to Barnsley 2-1 in 2008 at Anfield, to reaffirm the magic of the much-loved competition.
The Reds would just hope they could pull off another professional job, in the here and now, with the 3-1 win over Wolves surely giving them some confidence that they can go all the way this year.
When do the ties take place?
All of the ties that will be drawn later on tonight will take place over the weekend of April 4, with a gap in fixtures for Liverpool and other Premier League clubs visible when looking at their match schedule for the rest of the long 2025/26 campaign.
If they reach the semi-finals, these showdowns take place over the weekend of April 25, before May then rolls around for the final of the illustrious competition on May 16.
Liverpool’s route to the final:
| Round | Date | Venue |
| QF’s | Saturday, April 4 2026 | TBC (Home or Away) |
| SF’s | April 25-26 2026 | Wembley Stadium |
| Final | Saturday May 16 2026 | Wembley Stadium |
While the dream of securing back-to-back Premier League titles has slipped out of reach, Liverpool remains a formidable force in the hunt for silverware this season. Arne Slot’s side are still very much in contention for the FA Cup as the club awaits the imminent announcement of their quarter-final opponents.
