Liverpool’s Fabinho’s Man of the Match performance in numbers following Leeds demolition

Yesterday saw Liverpool make their return to Premier League action with a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds.

The action came off the back of a week-long international break, with the Reds returning to hot form.

Liverpool cruised out 3-0 winners, with the game proving that Jurgen Klopp and his squad are hungry for the title.

Despite the game being marred by the horrific injury to youngster Harvey Elliott, there were plenty of positives.

One of which came in the form of a player who until the night prior, was unable to play due to a ban from FIFA and Brazil.

Midfield general Fabinho was in high-flying action yesterday, with the 27-year-old winning man of the match.

Following the game, Anfield Watch tweeted out his numbers, which were tallied up by Squawka…

As you can see above, Fabinho was everywhere on the pitch yesterday, with him dominating the midfield.

Not only did he produce the most interceptions, but he also managed to show up offensively notching the second goal.

It is clear that his presence in midfield is highlighted by his defensive capabilities.

However, it was great to see him get on the score sheet and show that he is useful in many other aspects.

To win all of your aerial duels in a game is an impressive feat, with Fabinho putting in a real shift.

It was great to see the Reds back in action and what looks back to their best after last season.

Despite a lack of signings this summer, the squad looks in great shape and seems hungry to succeed this campaign.
