A number of Liverpool supporters have been expressing their happiness at seeing Xherdan Shaqiri back in the gym, following a Twitter post.
The Swiss has endured such a frustrating Reds career in many ways, with injuries so often holding him back.
Since arriving from Stoke City in the summer of 2018, Shaqiri has managed just 46 appearances, summing up how often he has been unavailable.
When he does play, the 29-year-old is capable of opening up defences with a piece of magic, as highlighted by his brilliant assist for Diogo Jota at home to West Ham earlier in the season.
Shaqiri has been out with another injury in recent weeks, but on Tuesday, he posted a picture of himself in the gym, posing for the camera.
It suggests he could even be available for Liverpool’s trip to Newcastle United on Wednesday evening, although that could be optimistic.
These Reds supporters reacted to seeing Shaqiri back in the fold on Twitter.
