Liverpool fans are shocked at Mane’s omission from LFC-Man United combined XI

Liverpool are producing a legendary season, one that their fans will be hoping ends with them winning the Premier League title for the first time.

The Reds have picked up 73 points from a possible 75, with their only draw coming away to Manchester United in October.

Speaking of United, this Liverpool side is already being compared to some of the great sides of the past, including their rivals’ treble-winning outfit back of the 1998/99 season.

Alex Ferguson’s men won the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup that campaign, securing their place in history in the process.

Sky Sports have been asking supporters of both Liverpool and United to pick a combined level from this current Reds outfit and the Red Devils’ class of ’99, making for some interesting debate:

Replace Irwin, Cole and Mo with Robbo, Bobby and Sadio and I could begin to take this tweet seriously…
