Some Liverpool fans have been expressing further frustration with Naby Keita, after Jurgen Klopp said he is lacking rhythm.
The 25-year-old arrived at Anfield as hot property in 2018, with some viewing him as one of Europe’s best up-and-coming midfielders.
Liverpool supporters had had to wait a year to see him after he signed, however, with the Guinean spending another season at RB Leipzig before departing.
There is no denying that Keita’s Reds career has been a little underwhelming to date, considering the expectations of him when he joined.
He has had good games, without question, and been a key man at times, but injuries and inconsistent form have held him back too often.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Klopp confirmed that Keita could feature against Tottenham on Wednesday night, but admitted a lack of rhythm could put paid to that.
Klopp on Keita for Tottenham game: "Naby is a maybe. Yesterday he was involved in the extended warm-up. No-one else (will be coming back). Naby has no rhythm, that's the truth. That makes it difficult."
