Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has been pulling up plenty of trees during the first half of his season-long loan spell with Blackburn Rovers – causing murmurings that the Reds could recall the winger.
Reputable journalist James Pearce recently confirmed to The Athletic that the Anfield club were not actually considering recalling the 17-year-old, despite the ever-heightening injury crisis in Jurgen Klopp’s squad and Elliott’s form making a recall a distinct possibility.
The teenager has been outstanding for the Lancashire club and Rovers manager Tony Mowbray recently made the candid admission that he tells his players to give the on-loan Livepool youngster the ball.
The 17-year-old is developing at a rapid rate during his spell in the Championship, with four goals and four assists in his opening 14 matches, performing wonders for a player of his age.
These Kopites believe Liverpool are wise to allow the talented winger to continue flourishing at Ewood Park rather than having his growth stunted at Anfield, with one fan believing that a recall would be “short-sighted”…
