Some Liverpool fans have been heaping praise on Gini Wijnaldum, following a magnificent performance against Tottenham on Thursday night.
The Reds were excellent at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, outplaying their opponents and coming away with a richly-deserved 3-1 win.
Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool the lead seconds before half-time, before Trent Alexander-Arnold made it 2-0 with a clinical finish.
The visitors’ lead was halved when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg fired past Alisson from distance, but Sadio Mane sealed the victory after an error from Joe Rodon.
The win takes Liverpool to within four points of Premier League leaders Manchester City, and just three behind Manchester United.
On a night when numerous Reds players performed superbly, Wijnaldum stood out in the No.6 role, allowing Thiago to flourish in a more advanced position.
The Dutchman shone in his all-round game, from his energy to his passing, and these Liverpool fans took to Twitter to laud another influential showing.
