Some Liverpool supporters have been raving about new footage of Xherdan Shaqiri‘s brilliant assist against West Ham.
Liverpool won 2-1 at home to the Hammers on Saturday night, making it four wins in a row in all competitions.
The Reds fell behind to a Pablo Fornals strike, but Mohamed Salah levelled from the penalty spot before half-time and Diogo Jota scored a late winner for the Premier League champions.
In a game where Liverpool toiled for long periods, substitute Shaqiri produced a moment of magic for Jota’s strike.
The Swiss international slid an outrageous pass through to the onrushing Portuguese forward, threading the ball between the narrowest of gaps and allowing his teammate to fire home in front of the Kop.
It was a moment which highlighted the technical ability that Shaqiri’s possesses, as his wand of a left foot came to the fore.
On Sunday, Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted a fascinating clip of the goal through the eyes of Shaqiri, allowing fans to witness exactly what the Reds forward saw when he got the ball.
These Reds supporters have been lauding the moment of class on Twitter, hailing Shaqiri’s influence after being such an injury-prone figure in general as one fan dubbed him an “incredible player”.

Play Shaqiri more. Just look at those skills. Especially when we play against dense defenses.
