The FA has closed their investigation into allegations relating to Liverpool hacking into Manchester City’s scouting system, according to a report from Sky Sports
It was alleged that Reds Sporting Director Michael Edwards and staff members Dave Fallows and Julian Ward had hacked into a player database at City.
The behaviour in question was claimed to have taken place between June 2012 and February 2013.
The age of the allegations means the FA has now closed the case, however, with a £1 million settlement also helping solve the issue between England’s top two current teams.
The investigation will now be put to bed unless new information emerges, allowing Liverpool to focus on winning the league title for the first time since 1990, as they currently sit 22 points clear of City in the table.
These Reds supporters have been reacting to the news on Twitter, making a few sly digs in the direction of City and questioning why the story re-emerged after the aforementioned settlement.
