A number of Liverpool fans have given Trent Alexander-Arnold special praise, following the Reds’ impressive 2-0 win against RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were excellent throughout against their Champions League opponents, taking control of their last-16 tie.
After a goalless first half, Mohamed Salah fired Liverpool into the lead, burying his 24th goal of the season.
Sadio Mane then doubled the advantage with an equally cool finish, as the Reds made Leipzig pay for some poor defending.
On a night when numerous Liverpool players impressed, Alexander-Arnold caught the eye more than some.
Although he didn’t score or assist either of the goals, he provided quality from right-back, also defending well.
There are clear signs that the 22-year-old is slowly returning to his best, having had an up-and-down season to date.
These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to laud Alexander-Arnold, hailing his performance on a great night for anyone of a Reds persuasion.
Great night for Liverpool. Leipzig played into their hands, but lots of positives. Front three bang at it, Alisson with some good saves, Kabak confident. Trent and Jones class.
