The 22-year-old sealed a move to the reigning Champions League holders on Sunday, officially becoming a Bayern player on July 1st.
Upamecano has reportedly been tracked by some of the biggest clubs in the world throughout this season, having shone at the heart of RB Leipzig’s defence.
Liverpool have been continually linked with a move for the France international in recent weeks, but he has ended up opting to stay Germany and join Bundesliga champions Bayern instead. It means Jurgen Klopp will now need to look elsewhere for summer reinforcements.
The Reds will face Upamecano on Tuesday evening, as the two sides meet in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash, with the match being played in Budapest.
