A number of Liverpool supporters have been reacting negatively to Jurgen Klopp’s injury update on Joel Matip, despite him hinting he could face Tottenham.
The Reds could only draw 1-1 away to Fulham on Sunday afternoon, never getting going at Craven Cottage.
Mohamed Salah’s second half penalty earned Liverpool a point, but they scarcely deserved it, given the nature of their performance.
Matip was forced off with a back injury at half-time, adding to Klopp’s injury woes and forcing Jordan Henderson to partner Fabinho at centre-back.
With the Spurs match on Wednesday night looming, there has been concern that Matip will be missing.
Speaking after the Fulham game, however, Klopp said that the Cameroonian’s injury isn’t thought to be serious, leading to hope surrounding his involvement for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s side.

These Liverpool mocked the comments on Twitter, however, claiming Liverpool’s misfortune with injuries means he will probably be out for far longer.
