A number of Liverpool fans have been reacting to reports linking the Reds with a move for Aston Villa star Ezri Konsa.
According to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein, Jurgen Klopp is eyeing up the signing of the centre-back this summer, following an impressive campaign for Villa.
Tottenham are also believed to be tracking the progress of the 23-year-old, who could force his way into England’s Euro 2020 squad.
Konsa’s current deal doesn’t expire until the summer of 2023, however, so a hefty fee may be required to prise him away from Villa Park.
Villa are hopeful of expending his deal, though, seeing him as a vital player moving forward.
There is no doubt that Liverpool need a new centre-back in the summer, with Virgil van Dijk soon turning 30 and recovering from cruciate ligament damage, and Joe Gomez and Joel Matip out injured too often.
