A number of Liverpool fans want to see the Reds bring Danny Ings back to Anfield, following an update on his future.
The Southampton striker recently downed his former club at St Mary’s, scoring the only goal as Jurgen Klopp’s champions came unstuck.
Ings has been a revelation at Saints since joining from Liverpool in 2019, netting 40 times in 81 appearances.
According to the Telegraph, the 28-year-old is eyeing up a move to a Champions League club this summer, holding off on signing a new deal at St Mary’s.
Ings only managed 25 appearances for Liverpool during his time there, scoring four goals, but he was dogged by horrendous luck with injuries. He is a good Premier League striker and has proved that over an extended period of time.
These Reds supporters took to Twitter to talk up the idea of the Englishman returning to Anfield at the end of the season.
Be absolutely perfect for us, would never happen again though. https://t.co/96bivHth6O
