Liverpool have had a bid accepted for Scottish teenage sensation Sam Campbell, as reported by the PA news agency.
The Reds do not face a free run at the 16-year-old though as both Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United have also had bids accepted for the Motherwell youngster.
The Scottish defender’s talent was spotted at an early age north of the border, and he made his Motherwell Under 18 debut aged just 14.
Campbell now has a decision to make with all three Premier League clubs trying to persuade him to join, whislt Crystal Palace are also said to be interested although the South London club are yet to agree on a deal with Motherwell.
There is also a chance that thee youngster opts to remain in Scotland to continue his development as the Fir Park club are believed to have offered him a three-year deal to stay.
Liverpool have previous in singing highly rated Scottish youngsters with Danny Wilson arriving with extremely high hopes from Rangers in 2010.
Things didn’t quite go to plan for Wilson who left the club after three years and now plays for Colorado Rapids in the MLS.
More recently, the Reds signed Tony Gallagher from Falkirk and the defender recently headed to Toronto FC on loan.
